Nanosolar begins production of “third wave” of photovoltaics, electricity at under $1 per watt

Nanosolar, in Silicon Valley, says it can now manufacture photovoltaic cells which generate electricity at less than $1 per watt. Electricity produced by coal costs approximately $2 per watt.
